Occupational Safety and Health Association United Kingdom – (OSHAssociation UK) Nigeria Region is a renowned professional safety Association recognised by the public and private sectors with the focus of advancing the development of occupational safety and health and building safety culture in every work environment.
In line with the above mandate of the Association, the Provost of Ogun State College of Health Technology, Dr. Oladunjoye Abiodun welcomed Distingushed Fellows of the Association in the College Council Chamber; while recieving his Fellowship Membership Award, he appreciated the efforts of OSHAssociation in advocating and creating safety conciousness in the country.
The regional president of the Association in Nigeria Dr. Dalhatu Mohammed represented by one of the Distingushed Fellows Dr. Ogunyanwo during his speech,
congratulated the Provost for joining the Association and assured him of OSHAssociation’s support in the college especially in contributing towards producing proactive safety conciouse workforce into the health sector, by ensuring quality safety and health training and certification for final year students in the College.
The Provost thanked all fellows and members of the institution who attended the conferment and said he is glad to be conferred a Fellow member of the Association and would love to keep the relationship between the college and the Association growing as he also look forward to attending our international conferences within and outside Nigeria.
Mr. David Mbagwu, the OSHAssociation liaison co-ordinator with the college, appreciated the provost for his leadership role towards recognising the importance of safety skills and knowledge to the students and the impact of OSHAssociation towards adding value to the students’ career. He further assured the College of OSHAssociation’s commitment to helping the graduating students meet international safety and health best practices needed for better jobs in the health sector.
“Ogun State College of Health Technology has been partnering with OSHAssociation for over six (6) years now, ensuring additional knowledge, skills and certification on Occupational Safety and Health, contributing towards producing safety conciouse health workers for the health sector in Ogun state and Nigeria at large”, Mr. David said.
